THE SHORT BIG
// A collaboration between Urjuan Toosy & Mariana Neves

The Short Big is a podcast series bridging the gap between urgent academic research and disruptive practice, through a shared interrogation of language and the discourse it builds.
We seek to produce transferable and equitable academic dialogue by open-sourcing the process of knowledge production, allowing space to understand, question and contextualise theory in a caring, inclusive and additive way.
Through workshopping contemporary research, we iteratively transcribe and edit material anew. A process by which niche research interests become more accessible — activated publicly, for public growth.

TSB X Abbie Vickress (Pilot)
This pilot episode of The Short Big is focussed around the idea of un-learning, and what it means to unlearn. Unlearning as radical act of trust in inter-relational exchange, where we can learn from one another equally.
We will be applying some of the principles of this within this pilot episode, expanding the Making Marks seminar, by Abbie Vickress to include definitions of terminology, questions, prompts and conversations
The Web Platform X Wenjing Liu
The podcast is published via an integrated website with visual and audible content. Here, people can listen, read and interact with the content by “pinning” their own knowledge and understanding through a tag/open-source system – decentralising the knowledge exchange, while also considering a multitude of learning abilities.
